What is the process?

1. We discuss the details of the project, such as number of units to be modeled, interior/exterior, and presentation mode (Flash movies, still images, website integration, etc).

2. The project estimate is drawn up, the contract is signed and the initial deposit is collected. The deposit is 50% of the estimate.

3. Property information is obtained such as measurements, colors, materials, location, landscaping, etc.

4. The 3d model is created. Interiors come fully furnished, and exteriors include landscaping and atmospheric effects.

5. Finally, the presentations are designed, tested and delivered.

What information is needed to create a 3d model?

As much information as possible including measurements, materials, colors, landscaping, etc.

Typically floorplans and photos are sufficient, but we also provide a form for clients to fill out detailing interiors & exteriors.

For clients in the Phoenix area, we will personally arrive to photograph the property.

How long does the process take?

It depends on the complexity. The simplest to model are single-story apartment units, while expansive multi-story properties will take much longer. The factors to consider include:

  • Interior or exterior modeling, or both?
  • Amount of information provided (floorplans, photos, etc)
  • Complexity of materials
  • Complexity of landscaping
  • Number of delivery modes

How is a 3d model added to the client's website?

3d model presentations will be delivered to the client's webmaster, with all necessary code and instructions. The presentations can either be embedded on an existing page, or appear on a new pop-up window. Colors will match the client's website for seamless integration.

If the client has no professional webmaster, Virtual World 3d will add the 3d model presentations to the website. Owner Ellen McDonough is an award-winning web designer of Visionary Websites, and can assist on any website programming or design issue.
